The application procedure for Dominica Citizenship by Investment is a streamlined, legally regulated process. Under Dominican law, applications cannot be submitted directly by individuals; they must be filed exclusively through government-authorized marketing agents and legal representatives like Sharif Group.
The entire procedure is conducted 100% remotely from Dubai. You and your family do not need to travel to the Caribbean at any stage. By following a clear, five-step timeline, your file will progress smoothly from preparation to passport issuance within 3 to 5 months.
Step 1: Confidential Pre-Screening and Document Assembly
The process begins with an internal compliance check conducted by Sharif Group's legal desk. We audit your passport details and background against international compliance databases to ensure full pre-clearance.
Once pre-approved, our team provides you with a customized document checklist. Required paperwork includes certified passport copies, original birth certificates, marriage certificates, police clearance certificates from your country of origin and any nation lived in for more than six months, and clean medical health tests.
Sharif Group oversees all official English legal translations, apostille authentications, and notarizations to ensure your submission meets the exact standards of the Citizenship by Investment Unit (CBIU).
Step 2: File Submission and Government Due Diligence
Once your complete file is assembled and verified, our legal team officially submits your application to the CBIU in Roseau, Dominica. At this stage, standard government processing fees and third-party due diligence fees are settled.
The Dominican government engages specialized international investigative firms from the United States and the United Kingdom to conduct thorough background checks on all applicants aged 16 and older.
During this stage, applicants aged 16 and older participate in a quick, secure virtual video interview arranged with government verification officers to confirm identity details.
Step 3: Receipt of Official Approval in Principle
Following successful due diligence and background clearance, the CBIU issues an official Letter of Approval in Principle under the authority of the Ministry of Finance.
This document is formal legal proof that your application has been officially accepted by the sovereign government of Dominica. You are now authorized to complete your qualifying investment.
Applicants have up to 30 days from the date of approval to transfer the primary investment amount—either to the Economic Diversification Fund or into an approved real estate escrow account.
Step 4: Investment Transfer to Government Escrow
You transfer the approved investment funds directly from your personal or corporate bank account into the official, government-monitored Central Bank treasury account in Dominica.
Because the transfer is only initiated after receiving official government Approval in Principle, your capital is completely protected against processing risks.
Upon receipt and confirmation of the funds, the Ministry of Finance issues the final payment clearance, authorizing the immediate generation of your citizenship certificates.
Step 5: Naturalization Certificate and Passport Delivery
The government prints your official Certificate of Naturalization, signed and sealed by the authorized magistrate. This certificate establishes your lifelong Commonwealth citizenship.
Using the naturalization certificate, our authorized legal partners in Dominica submit the passport printing application directly to the Passport and Immigration Department.
Your new biometric Commonwealth passports and original naturalization certificates are securely shipped via diplomatic courier to the Sharif Group Dubai office for private collection.
